by Ahead of Sunday’s NFL action, a Minnesota Vikings icon announced he is dealing with a number of health issues.
On Sunday NFL Countdown on ESPN, Randy Moss said he’s “struggling with something internally” and is asking for prayers from everyone out there.
Here’s Moss’ full statement from this morning, courtesy of Sports Illustrated’s Nolan O’Hara:
“I just wanted to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family are struggling with something internally,” Moss said on ESPN. “I have some great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show; I wanted to be here with you. I feel great, but if you guys see me with these Michigan turnover glasses I have on, it’s not disrespectful because I’m on television, I’m fighting something. I need all the prayer warriors. God bless you all and thank you for the prayers.”
Moss also posted a video on his Instagram page about the issue, which you can see below:
Apparently some viewers pointed out a problem with Moss’ eyes last week, which is at least part of the reason why Moss chose to address the situation today. Obviously, we don’t know what nature Moss is dealing with, and it’s really none of our business unless Moss chooses to tell us at some point.
Moss has said he will now wear glasses Sunday NFL Countdown as a way to deal with the problem.
Whatever it is that Randy Moss and his family are going through, we want to send as many positive thoughts his way as possible in hopes that he can get over it quickly and without any additional problems. Moss is the greatest wide receiver I have had the pleasure of watching during my time as a football fan and he is a huge part of this team’s history, so I hope the rest of his fans will do the same.
